New Staggered Start Times

The Joplin School District has adopted a new staggered start time schedule beginning with the 2009-2010 school year. Starting in August, elementary classes will begin at 7:45 AM, and middle school and high school classes will begin at 8:30 AM. Dismissal times will also change. Elementary students will be dismissed at 2:45 PM, and middle school and high school students will be dismissed at 3:30 PM.

Elementary Schools

7:15 AM – doors open and breakfast served
7:45 AM – school starts
2:45 PM – school dismissed

Middle Schools & High School

7:45 AM – campus open
8:00 AM – breakfast served
8:30 AM – school starts
3:30 PM – school dismissed
