JET-14 Now Offering Sports Broadcasting Class

Unique Opportunity Through the TV Production Department

The Sports Broadcasting industry is such a large and diverse market that the TV Production Department felt that introducing a new sports broadcasting class at the high school level would be a unique opportunity for the students at Joplin High School. The skills the students learn in this class focus on "behind the scenes" audio and video production, play-by-play announcing and in-house interviews with student athletes and coaches. Introducing this class to the TV Production Department will also provide additional programming for JET-14 (Joplin Eagles Television).

Being enrolled in this class requires a new level of dedication by our students to spend a Friday night taping the home football games rather than spending it with their friends.
