Classroom Economy
Our classroom economy is a way to assist students in learning roles in our society, basic economic principles, and financial concepts. Our classroom economy begins with jobs that students apply for and get paid classroom money. They will maintain one specific job for a semester and then have the opportunity to apply for a new job. Our classroom economy runs on a monthly schedule of income and expenses. Students will use a checking account system to keep a ledger of their credit and debits. I will also be keeping a ledger to verify their account. The following is the jobs students may apply for. Please understand everyone will not get the job they desire. They will be placed in the position I feel they will be most successful. Every job in our classroom is important. Students are paid according to the amount of work that is entailed in their job.
