The Imaginary Invalid

In order to obtain the constant  medical attention he craves, the hypochondriac Argon is determined to marry his daughter,  Angelica to Thomas Diaforius, a pedantic medical student.  But Angelica, encouraged by her uncle Beralde and her wily servant Toinette, is in love with Cleante.  Cleante disguises himself as a music teacher to gain access to Angelica, but Argon's second wife Beline, interested only in her husband's considerable fortune, threatens to expose the young lover's plan.  Disaster must surely follow, until Toinette decides to take matters into her own hands.    Presented in November, 2007,  this comedy-farce was a huge success.
