  • Stapleton Family Night

    Famous Missourians Wax Museum & Writing Celebration

    Thursday, May 7, 2015

    5:30- 7:00 p.m.

    Get ready for your chance to meet famous Missourians- past, present, and future! Stapleton families are cordially invited to attend our next Family Night! Parents and students will have opportunities to learn all about Missouri. Fourth graders will host a Famous Missourians Wax Museum featuring acclaimed Missourians from the past and present. Come ready to meet people like Brad Pitt, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Derek Thomas, Charles Lindbergh, and Jesse James!!! Afterwards, plan to visit each grade level to read our (future) famous Missourians’ writings as part of our Writer’s Celebration.  Plan on bringing the whole family and joining us for this evening of educational fun. We look forward to seeing you and your family there!

  • Stapleton Parents

  • Stapleton Winter Read In  
    Friday, January 16th  11:00 am-1:00 pm

    Stapleton families are cordially invited to eat lunch with their

    child and attend our January Winter Read-In.

    Kindergarten 11:15-11:50

    First Grade 11:30-12:00

    Second Grade 11:45-12:15

    Third Grade 12:00-12:30

    Fourth Grade 12:15-12:45

    Fifth Grade 12:20-12:50

    Parents and Grandparents are invited to attend.

    If you are planning to eat a school lunch with your child, 

    please R.S.V.P. no later than January 14th, 2015.

    Adult lunches $2.50

    Child lunches $1.70

    Bring your favorite book to share with your child 

    and encourage the joy of reading.

  • Holiday Break Activities
    There is no need for the "What To Dos?"  this holiday break.  Students are bringing home a packet of activities to complete throughout the holiday break.  Activities include reading, cooking and writing recipes, and puppetry.  Each student who returns a parent signature of ten completed activities will receive a free book in the month of January.  Happy holidays and happy reading.

  • Stapleton’s Christmas Around the World

    Thursday, December 11th

    5:30-7:00 pm

    Please join us the evening of December 11th, to celebrate Christmas Around the World!  Students and families will be able to travel throughout the building enjoying games, activities, and crafts.  Come join us for some holiday fun at Stapleton!

    Stapleton Writing Goals 
    Parents, please ask your child what they are writing about in their 
    classroom and what their writing goals are. We invite you to come
    and view all the amazing writing in our hallways and throughout
    our building.  We are so proud of our students!
    Stapleton Writing Goals: 
    The number of students meeting or exceeding expectations on the Informative On-Demand Writing Rubric will increase 56% by May 2015.
    100% of teachers will establish individual writing goals with their students by November 2014, and provide students with strategies that will support Self Regulated Learning by February 2015.
