Joplin families,

Welcome back to school! Each year, bus routes are created and adjusted during the first several weeks of school as we learn which students are bus riders and which are not. During these early weeks, we will send out frequent bus route alerts. These alerts will go to every Joplin Schools family who is eligible for the bus route in question, even if those students do not use the bus.

If your student will not be riding a bus, and you would like them to be removed from bus alerts, please email [email protected]. Tell us your student’s name, address, and school, and we will remove them from the list of alerts as soon as possible. We anticipate uploading the first round of changes to our alert system in mid-September; alerts to all eligible students will continue until that first round of changes can be uploaded. We apologize for the inconvenience of alerts to families who may not need them, and are working hard to adjust the routes as quickly as possible.

As a reminder, in order for students to ride an afternoon bus home during the first 3 days of school, they must have also ridden a morning bus that day.
